Ristorante Tandur, Milan

Cheese Naan

We finally visited Milan. And what did we have for dinner on our one night there? No prizes for guessing - we ate Indian.

Chicken Korma and Aloo Gobi

Hub brought along the red Michelin restaurant guide. We started out wanting to try a good Italian restaurant serving Milanese cuisine for a change and then saw an Indian restaurant mentioned in the guide and that was it. I'm not eating pasta if I can have cheese naan.

Lamb Vindaloo and Prawn Madras

The restaurant's a few hundred metres by foot from the beautiful duomo and is situated in a little street. Simple restaurant with just a few tables, but nicely decorated with warm colours.

Mango Lassi

We have eaten better Indian food elsewhere and the Lamb Vindaloo for instance was absolutely not hot and not tender enough which was a disappointment. But the service was good and attentive and everything was done nicely and seemed homemade from the chutneys to the lassis. I would return if we were in Milan again.
