Le Lavandou, France

The beach at downtown Le Lavandou

Hub went to the Cabasson beach one morning with the Babies and I stayed put at the holiday village as I had sprained my ankle the day before on the same beach. But I got tired with staying put and decided to drive myself a few kms to the nearby town of Le Lavandou for a visit.

It was a lovely but foggy morning and the wide sandy beach was starting to fill up with sunbathers and swimmers. Apparently you have a good chance of spotting dolphins if you take a boat out in its waters.

Public pétanque pits

They have shaded pétanque pits for public use, and a number of restaurants and boutiques in town. But too much concrete otherwise, didn't find the town particularly appealing.
