Cheese Biscuits
I was on YouTube yesterday looking for Teresa Teng and Hideaki Tokunaga's music videos. At one point I came across a video with a guy wearing glasses bathed in a black-blue light who looked quite like one of my ex-boyfriends. But of course it wasn't him as who in his right mind would record a video of himself singing karaoke (Tokunaga's Falling in Love) and broadcast it to the world? Gross.
I felt like making something quick and savoury this afternoon and ended up baking a batch of Cheese Biscuits. Yes, I've been cooking and eating all day - all the while waiting for the predicted thunderstorm...that still hasn't arrived.
Indian Princess
I'm a bad mother who left her children pretty much to their own devices, but sometimes we all need a break from each other. Baby Girl played dressing-up among other things today and at one point she was an Indian Princess. She's really soo pretty my baby, even if she had to suck in her tummy for the photo. We all need to be on diet, but she's too young to go on one and I figure that I'm a little too old to go on one too.
Cheese Biscuits :
120g Flour
120g Cheese (e.g. Cheddar)
120g Butter
2 Tsp Ajwain seeds
1/2 Tsp ground Paprika
Pre-heat the oven to 190°C.
Grate the cheese and cut the butter into smaller cubes.
Put everything in a food processor and process till you get a dough.
Roll into a log and wrap in clingwrap. Chill in the fridge for at least 20 minutes.
Slice into thin rounds, space them out on a baking sheet and bake for about 5 minutes in the oven. They will spread out quite a bit during the baking process.
Let them cool completely (on the baking sheet) before removing them or they may not harden enough to stay in one piece.

Oooooo yum! I just made some cheese biscuits myself recently. But they were cutouts.
Well, these were really easy so I made them. You know I go for minimum effort.
