Steamed Crab Claw Hor Fun
I made Vietnamese Pho yesterday and had some soup and flat rice noodles left over. That gave me the idea to put that hor fun in a steaming plate, top it with crab claws, ginger, garlic, the stock, some leafy greens, fresh chilli, and some sauce (e.g. light and dark soy, Chinese cooking wine, sugar, old vinegar, sesame oil, corn starch...) and steam everything for dinner.
I would have added fermented black beans if I hadn't used up my last batch. Anyway, it was a quick and nice Steamed Crab Claw Hor Fun for a weekday dinner. And will leave me some time to read this erotic bestseller written by an Italian teenager Melissa P. exposing her intense and shocking sexual experiences in "One Hundred Strokes of the Brush before Bed".
We ate crabs recently too....my usual black pepper crabs. But somehow this time, it wasn't spicy at all.... I guess I tamed it down, cos both of us are down with slimmy throats...sorry if TMI.
RépondreSupprimerGreat to see that you're upgrading your already-excellent cooking skills with all those cookbooks!
That's why I don't read cookbooks, cos people like yourself do, and I can sit back and enjoy looking at photos of your food to see if I want to try the recipes! hahah.
I rarely try any recipe from a top class cookbook - too intimidated. Plus no patience to read the recipe. But I like looking at the photos :-).
