I cooked just one meal during my 2-week vacation : Caramel Prawns, Ginger Chicken and Broccoli & Mushroom Stir-fry. Served on steamed Jasmine Rice. That was for our Saturday, post-Christmas lunch.
Couldn't do anything elaborate as MIL's larder is empty. Had to make do with the garlic, onion, ginger, soy sauce, Thai chillies and corn starch that I managed to find in the nearest supermarket. Add the fresh ingredients, salt and sugar and you get a complete meal!
Hub prepared the perfectly-cooked Pan-grilled Scallops flambeed in some alcohol and MIL invited us to the yummy mignardises. I know, we were supposed to detox after Christmas but still managed to have a little feast. Incorrigible.
