Trani (Apulia) has a beautiful portside Romanesque Cathedral, medieval habour (the modern world's oldest written maritime code, the Ordinamenta Maris, was drawn up there), 15th century Palazzo and a 12th century church built by the Templars during the crusades. Probably lovely having a drink or a meal in one of the restaurants facing the port.
