Let's face it - I am lousy at taking pictures. I have tried occasionally to snap a few of my kids but somehow never managed to get any nice shots out of those attempts. And I know when to accept failure when it's staring at me in the face.

I have found a decent photo studio on my visit to Singapore 2 years ago and am more than happy to leave the job to them. They specialise in children and pregnancy shots and do just black, white or brown backgrounds - simple but efficient.
Gecko Kids
You get to bring up to 3 sets of your own clothes and they provide the props. Each session lasts an hour and they work 6 days a week. Nothing pretentious but the results speak for themselves. In any case I'm pretty happy with the outcome.

But it doesn't mean no more pics of my beautiful babies, of course. Wouldn't let them use it as an excuse to dump me in a nursing home in my old age.

In addition the kids had a good laugh while they had their photos taken. Crazy crazy kids...

RépondreSupprimerGorgeous... both the kids and the shots. Did you buy the same outfit for them? Hehe. What about little A? He didn't get to wear the Gecko?
RépondreSupprimerOh, yes, I just looked at photos again and caught A's in the green shade. ;)
RépondreSupprimeri've been lurking for a while, but just have to add this comment -- your kids are beautiful. You must be very proud :-) Just in case u're wondering, I've two girls meself -- yet another S'pore girl on the continent of the US of A. (Or is that not a continent? dunno, failed geog in sec 2 and never looked back...haha)

E from Torino - I love the Queen Holly pic most. Sono veramente belli i tuoi bambini.
RépondreSupprimerThe kids and I didn't make it to this studio you mentioned during lunch (ran out of time), but after seeing these beautiful kids of yours in the pictures, I'll have to schedule it into my next trip back! hehe!
RépondreSupprimeroooooh SO PRECIOUS!!
RépondreSupprimerPris, yeap those could be x'mas cards but of course as usual I've got to get the shots done AFTER x'mas...anyway, I'm too lazy to send cards to anybody.
RépondreSupprimerD, got the outfits in Bali a few years ago, surprised that they still fit the kids. Baby Boy has a blue one too but he wore it in the photo session in 2006 so I've decided to let him wear the green one instead.
Tatiana, thanks for visiting the blog and must say that your name's pretty unusual for a local girl from Sgp :-). Tell us more about you we just love getting to know other Singaporean gals out there suffering from the lack of local food LOL...
E, visited your blog, we went to Sun with Moon a few times (but the Wheelock Place one) and love the food there too. And you were looking great, not an ounce of fat en plus unlike me :-(
V, I'm going to email you the studio address when I can find it.
Jaden, you would have taken great shots of your cute boys yourself, unlike poor me, never generating income only spending it :-)
