School Family Lunch

Last Saturday, we joined a lunch organised by the school's Parent-Teacher's Association (PTA) at Ristorante Napoleon in Castelnuovo-Rangone. It was an occasion for us to meet the other parents and also socialise with the Principal and her staff so how could we not go? Besides we got an endless Italian lunch that lasted hours and that was a great way to get to know the way the Italians usually eat and live.

At one point I actually thought that I would go crazy with all the noise from the kids and then suddenly they ran out of the restaurant. Some to play in the enormous garden cum playground, most to watch the magic show. Yes, they have hired a clown/magician! Whew...

I got to know a Malaysian couple who are also Singapore PRs and whose daughter is in the school (and who seems to get along really well with Baby Girl). Wonderful, don't you think so? They very kindly offered to lend me their latest HK TV serials and though I'm very tempted, I tell myself that I would do good to try to resist. Only just finished vacuuming on Sunday night. And this coming weekend we have guests. The guy who designs all the Ferraris would be over for lunch on Sunday.

The highlight of the lunch would probably be the cake at the end of the meal. It has the school logo on it! And pastry flowers - reminded me so much of my childhood. With my birthday coming up, I guess that I'm feeling nostalgic for my lost youth.
