Almost perfect translation.

Unfortunately, Google Translate fares badly for Chinese-English-Chinese & Jap-English-Jap. Both translated languages induce the best hysterical laughter from me.

Even as a Sporean, lots of Chinese words elude me so need to do translation still but Google or Babelfish never get it right.

These western companies need to do a better job of Asian languages being translated.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21346417.post-33358336672253504992010-03-14T13:38:19.297+01:002010-03-14T13:38:19.297+01:00Sraikh and Dutchess, I blogged this in French so t...Sraikh and Dutchess, I blogged this in French so that most of the other expats here wouldn't find my 2nd hand store too quickly. Apparently my blog is known to the expat community here.

Basically this store has a lot of rubbish in it and the prices are high (because we're in Europe) - unlike similar stores in the USA, for example.

Dumdad, I love old rubbish because it usually sets me wondering about what kind of people used it before, how sad that some of the stuff has been dumped in the shop because of old age, death or bankruptcy. Or abandoned because its owners have changed their minds.

Otherwise, like I've said, we know nothing about antiques and will not recognise a gem even if it dances before us.Beau Lotus 涟https://www.blogger.com/profile/07357356510646043072noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21346417.post-969986818987803382010-03-14T05:36:50.357+01:002010-03-14T05:36:50.357+01:00And I see my name there! And I see my name there!sraikhhttp://asaaan.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21346417.post-36280355270293639392010-03-13T09:42:06.374+01:002010-03-13T09:42:06.374+01:00The trouble nowadays with brocantes everywhere is ...The trouble nowadays with brocantes everywhere is that people think everything is valuable because it's old. It isn't. So you have to wade through so much rubbish to find a gem. Perhaps that rare first edition or a priceless vase?
